Fetzen Collection
Fetzen, rags in German, are a series composed of 12 pieces originating from a study concerning time and matter. The pleasure of "doing" in a manual process that ennobles and transforms a jute rag into an art object. I recovered an ancient technique, with rabbit collecting and gold plaster to obtain rigid and light surfaces such as "barks" and then with the drawing up of the Armenian black bole, I made them bituminous and intense. The material fact is reduced to a geography of signs on which to pass the hand like a braille alphabet. These works are stratigraphies that form irregular surfaces, from which the plans of archaeological excavations or traces of encrypted codes emerge like ancient maps.

In Alice's works, light-reflecting spaces are entrusted to the metal layers that interrupt the surface. Also in this case, certain oxidation effects are obtained by the artist through activators of natural origin, such as vinegar, which are certainly slower than chemical ones. But it is precisely this that Alice intends to obtain, an art in which the inexorable passing of time contributes to producing, through the small but constant variations that are manifested by chemical reaction, works that can contain in their chronology some of the experience of those who has produced them. Alice realizes through these works an introspective magic-propitiatory action, providing each with a latent energy that is just waiting to be solicited. These works are Yantra.Claudio Giorgetti
